The Lycée Français de New York has adopted a hybrid model of teaching and learning with a mix of online and in-classroom. As such, we are hiring a Classroom Monitor who will actively supervise middle and high school students while the classroom teacher is providing instruction remotely through Zoom.
The Classroom Monitor is expected to supervise students in a classroom-setting during online teaching sessions.
The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications:
ability to maintain order in classrooms and enforce school policies with students;
ability to communicate effectively with students
experience working with youth (11 to 18 years old in a educational setting)
knowledge of French and English preferred
basic technology knowledge
This position is categorized as hourly; compensation will be based on hours worked and paid at the rate of $20. It is a temporary position with fluctuating work hours. The number of hours can vary from one week to another and should average between 30 and 40 hours per week. The schedule may vary between 8:15am and 5:15pm, Monday through Friday when school is open.
